Your Tasks

The successful applicant will take part in specific research projects involving molecular biology and cell biology techniques, alone and in collaboration with other lab members. The ideal candidate will also have responsibility for general laboratory management, including administration of lab resources, scheduling lab duties and training of new group members in various techniques.

The group is focused on the development of innovative translational treatment approaches to fight paediatric cancers using both cellular and gene therapy strategies with particular refence to chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) technology and T cell receptor editing. Dr. Caruana is searching for a highly motivated applicant who would have a central role in setting up the research under his supervision and make original scientific contributions to the research projects of the lab.

Your Profile

  • An undergraduate or Master’s degree in molecular biology, cell biology or a related field from an accredited university or technical school.
  • Experience working in a lab and research environment.
  • Expertise in molecular biology methods, including cloning.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to perform duties independently.
  • Judgment and action skills required to solve commonly encountered problems.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
