Your Tasks

  • Careful development of the research methodology
  • Independent lab analysis of blood, adrenal and adipose tissue samples obtained from animal experiments and human surgery at our center
  • Statistical processing of the data (statistical consulting available)
  • Writing your doctoral thesis and scientific publications

  • How does the adipose tissue influence the adrenal gland’s function and the heart and vice-versa. 
  • Is there a paracrine communication between the adrenal gland and the periadrenal adipose tissue?
  • Do environmental chemicals (e.g., Bisphenols, Phthalates) influence the adrenal gland function and do the accumulate in the adrenal gland?

Your Profile

  • Master'degree in Biology, Ecotrophology, Biomedicine or Biochemistry
  • Interest in translational research
  • Previous experience with animal experiments (desired)

The position is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) at 65% for one year with a contract extension for three years.
