  • Full-time
  • Temporary with possibility of extension

Application deadline: 20/07/2026

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher (m/f/d) to join a prestigious EU-funded research project investigating cardiovascular inflammation through innovative immune-cell engineering approaches.

We offer

The successful candidate will take a leading role in project management while actively coordinating and performing experimental research within a highly interdisciplinary environment.

Being one of the leading CAR T research programs in Europe, we provide a stimulating environment with an international team of experienced, innovative scientists, medical doctors, and technicians with numerous national and international collaborators promoting top-class science.

Your Tasks

Scientific Research

  • Design, coordinate, and conduct experimental studies investigating acute and chronic cardiovascular inflammation.
  • Develop and apply CAR T-cell engineering approaches for therapeutic intervention.
  • Perform in-depth functional analyses using in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo models.
  • Utilize advanced technologies including flow cytometry, immune-cell phenotyping, transcriptomics, and single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq).
  • Analyze molecular signaling pathways driving cardiovascular inflammation and immune-cell function.
  • Contribute to data interpretation, scientific publications, conference presentations, and grant applications.

Project Management and Coordination

  • Take over day-to-day scientific and administrative management of the EU-funded project.
  • Coordinate project activities, milestones, deliverables, and reporting obligations.
  • Serve as a key liaison between project partners, collaborators, and funding agencies.
  • Organize consortium meetings, monitor project progress, and ensure timely completion of objectives.
  • Support strategic planning, dissemination activities, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Mentor and coordinate students and junior researchers involved in the project.

Your Profile

  • PhD in Life Sciences, Immunology, Cardiovascular Biology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • Strong experimental background in inflammation research and cardiovascular disease models.
  • Experience with cellular and molecular biology techniques; expertise in immunology, immune-cell engineering, flow cytometry, transcriptomics, or animal models is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently plan and execute research projects.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, ideally with experience coordinating collaborative research activities.
  • High intrinsic motivation and enthusiasm for investigating molecular mechanisms of cardiovascular diseases.
  • Ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary and international teams.
