As a Research Associate (m/f/d) Life Science at the University Hospital of Würzburg, you will work in an interdisciplinary cutting-edge research team. You will 1) investigate basic genetic components of immuno-regulatory mechanisms in childhood cancers; 2) develop innovative biomarkers for better risk stratification and targets to improve therapeutic outcome; and 3) help us to improve the quality of life of affected children.

Your Tasks
- Performing and analyzing single-cell sequencing data (scRNA-Seq, scATAC-Seq).
- Analysis of large genetic, epigenetic and clinical data sets.
- Development of new biomarkers and therapeutic strategies in collaboration with clinicians.
- Coordination of the project “Understanding and Preventing Relapse in Children with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia” funded by the German Cancer Aid.
Your Profile
- Completed doctorate in biochemistry, biology, molecular medicine or related fields.
- Strong research background in immunology and cancer related field.
- Experience in single cell sequencing library construction and NGS data analysis methods.
- Profound knowledge in molecular biology and development of new analytical approaches.
- Independent, structured and team-oriented way of working.
The position is initially limited to three years, with the possibility of extension. Part-time is possible. Remuneration is according to TV-L and depends on your qualifications and experience.
